Quality Mark:

As an integral part of the Scottish FA Youth Action Plan, the Quality Mark recognises and rewards high standards of football provision within youth football at grassroots level.

Working in close partnership with Local Authorities and Youth football organisations, the Scottish FA award will improve football standards and enhance the playing experience for all participating children.

Promoting best practice from a wide variety of sources, the Scottish FA will support and develop participating clubs and schools in the areas of:

  • Players and Coach Development
  • Club Management
  • Administration
  • Promoting your Club

There are three levels of Scottish FA Quality Mark award:

Standard
The Standard award is achieved when a club with one or more teams can clearly demonstrate quality of football provision.

Development
Development award is attained where a club have demonstrated a commitment to the Scottish FA defined player pathway and to the development of players through a number of age groups including girls's football. These clubs should have a minimum of 4 teams at four different age groups.

Community Club
The key objective of this level is to encourage members to stay within the club structure and continue to play,train and compete whilst developing a sense of Community belonging. These clubs will have a minimum of 8 teams representing children, youths, adults and girls/women.

Currie Star currently have Quality Mark Standard Award. The aim is to attain the Community Club award in 2010.
